Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is very simple. I believe that each student is a unique individual that needs a supporting and stimulating environment to meet their full potential. All students can reach their potential with the help of a supportive nurturing teacher, along with appropriate academic challenges and supports. In a classroom it is essential for all students to feel safe and important. Effective classroom management is essential to maintain a healthy learning environment and develop a classroom community of learners. A teacher should always model appropriate behavior choices and allow students to begin making good choices on their own.
My goal in my classroom is to invest in students the love of learning and inspire students to never stop searching for knowledge. When students are internally motivated to learn they can move mountains. I aspire to give students the skills to thrive in our ever-changing global economy and become life-long learners.
